replacement program - cancelled 48 KGHM Bieg Piastów
We invite everyone to the event that we are organizing in Szklarska Poręba-Jakuszyce on March 1, 2 and 3, i.e. during the main races of the cancelled 48th KGHM Bieg Piastów.
1. Running and walking trips (on the same tracks), free of charge, with guides from the Bieg Piastów Association:
March 1, at 12:00 "The highest point of the Bieg Piastów route" (to the point called: kopalnia) approximately 12-14 km.
March 2, at 9:00 "In the footsteps of the old Piasts" (to Polana Izerska) approximately 24 km.
March 3, at 10:00 "We connect the tracks of Jizerska 50 and Bieg Piastów" (to Jizerka) about 16 km.
All trips start from the DCS Polana Jakuszycka stadium. Possible adjustments to the route and distance depending on the weather, route condition and group size.
People who were not registered for the 48th KGHM Bieg Piastów can participate in the trips.
2. The Bibs Distribution Office will be open:
Friday, March 1, 2024 opening hours 9:00-16:00.
Saturday, March 2, 2024 opening hours 8:00-16:00
Sunday, March 3, 2024 opening hours 9:00-15:00
The Numbers Office for 48 KGHM Bieg Piastów will be located in the Lower Silesian Sports Center Polana Jakuszycka (originally: Dolnośląskie Centrum Sportu Polana Jakuszycka). Competitors registered for the 48th KGHM Bieg Piastów can collect starting packages and medals (as long as they declared it on their accounts on datasport.pl).
3. Children's rally (form and distance depend on the weather)
Saturday 11:00
Children who were registered for the Cub Scout Expedition and the Preschoolers Run can collect starting packages and medals.
Children who were not registered for the Cub Scout Expedition and the Preschoolers Run can also take part in the rally.
The children's rally will take place on a 200-meter route. If conditions allow, it will be covered with snow, so you can take your skis.
4. Games and activities for children
Saturday, March 2, 2024 (9:00-15:00) - invited by teams of Termy Cieplickie, Szklarska Poręba Forest District, Świeradów-Zdrój Forest District, DCS Polana Jakuszycka and the City of Jelenia Góra
Sunday, March 3, 2024 (9:00- 15:00) - invited by teams of Termy Cieplickie, DCS Polana Jakuszycka and the Szklarska Poręba Forest District and the Świeradów-Zdrój Forest District.
5. Integration bonfire – Saturday at 13:00-16:00.
6. Bieg Piastów shop with the possibility of purchasing the new Bieg Piastów ski collection. It will be open during BWN opening hours.
7. Due to the lack of conditions, disappearing snow and weather forecasts announcing high temperatures, resulting in the inability to prepare and indicate the appropriate track, it will not be possible to obtain Worldloppet stamps during individual ski races over shorter distances, for example on a loop.
